Transnational Network TANDEM PLUS Was Founded
After a year of preparatory work enaip together with five other partners has founded a European network. In the City Hall of the Northern French ciy of Lille on 19 February, the inaugural meeting with ceremonial signing of the Constitutive Act took place. The mayor of European and international affairs, Mrs. Martine Filleul, took over the patronage for the network.
The aim of the cooperation network, founded by partners from Germany, France, Italy, Portugal, Slovakia and Spain belong, is to make cross-border operations and to develop strategies to tackle the social, political and economic marginalisation of people and to implement the principles of social cohesion and full employment.
In particular, TANDEM PLUS will work within the following areas:
- Gender equality and gender mainstreaming
- Fight against discrimination of any kind
- Action approaches in the field of social policy, employment policies and lifelong learning
- European cultural heritage preservation and cultural heritage
- Promoting intercultural exchange and learning
- Development of support for young people with limited opportunities
- Promotion and integration of disadvantaged groups
In these areas, projects, support, studies and new models for action on a transnational level, tested and evaluated experiences of good practices identified and disseminated, as well as recommendations for action and promising models in mainstreaming processes introduced.
On behalf of Mayor Walter Veltroni Francsco Calmarini invited by the nonprofit company OESSE those present to an international symposium on issues of juvenile delinquency to Rome.
