EuroCompetenceMobility

Within the framework of European programs for lifelong learning and Leonardo Da Vinci Mobility from October 2007 to April 2009 over 20 young people from the various commercial and socio-educational professions have participated in the project EuroCompetenceMobility, realised by ENAIP in Mannheim and Stuttgart.
The young people, mainly with Italian migration background, have been trained in the following areas: professional knowledge and skills, high-end language competence, cultural knowledge and intercultural skills. Adequate written and oral exams haved been passed.
For the period from 4th to 25th April 2009 an internship has been scheduled in Isola del Gran Sasso, province of Teramo (Abruzzo). The group journey took place on 4th and 5th April. The earthquake in the Abruzzi on the morning of the 6th April put the internship stay in a state of emergency. The day after a second strong quake effected also the province of Teramo. For that reason the participants were evacuated the same evening in the remote capital of Pescara. From there they continued their way to their families back home for Easter. The same day the notice was given that the majority of the internship companies and organisation remain closed for emergency reasons.
